OnePlus has refreshed its midrange lineup in India with the launch of the Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite, two phones that clearly show where the company thinks the value segment is heading in 2026. Instead of chasing flashy camera counts or ultra-slim designs, these devices lean hard into three things many buyers in this price range care about: very high refresh rate displays, unusually large batteries, and durability that’s closer to rugged phones than typical midrange slabs.
The Nord CE 6 is the more ambitious of the pair. It combines a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and an 8,000mAh battery, a capacity that’s still rare even among gaming phones. Paired with 80W charging and reverse wired charging, the phone is clearly designed for people who hate looking for a charger during the day. Add IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, and this is one of the most water- and dust-resistant phones you’ll find anywhere near this price bracket.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 keeps things firmly in upper-midrange territory, and OnePlus is pairing that with a large vapor chamber cooling system and a very high touch sampling rate to support smoother gaming and general responsiveness. The camera setup is simple on paper, a 50MP main camera and a 32MP selfie camera, but OnePlus is leaning on software and AI features rather than hardware gimmicks here. The overall message is clear: this phone is built to last long on a charge, stay cool under load, and survive more abuse than most of its rivals.
The Nord CE 6 Lite takes the same philosophy and scales it down slightly for a lower price point. You still get a 144Hz display, though it’s an LCD panel, and a still-massive 7,000mAh battery with 45W charging. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex chip, which is more than capable for everyday apps, social media, and gaming at reasonable settings. The cameras step down to a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary lens, and an 8MP selfie camera, but the overall experience is designed to feel familiar to the standard model rather than drastically cut back.

The Nord CE 6 starts at ₹29,999 ($317.45) for the 8GB/128GB variant and ₹32,999 (about $350) for the 256GB model. The Nord CE 6 Lite begins at ₹20,999 (about $225) for 6GB/128GB, going up to ₹25,999 (about $275) for the top variant. The Nord CE 6 goes on sale from May 8, while the Nord CE 6 Lite follows on May 12, both through Amazon and OnePlus’ official stores.
