The next version of Samsung’s foldable phone is starting to come into focus, and it already feels like a steady step forward. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 has not been officially announced yet, but early details suggest a device that is more refined than before, with small changes that could make a big difference in daily use.

Here is everything we know about the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8:

Samsung’s Galaxy A57 and A37 Arrive With Higher Prices and Incremental Changes
The new prices land at $550 for the A57 and $450 for the A37.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 Design and Display Upgrades

The familiar clamshell design is expected to stay, with a compact body that folds into a smaller size and opens into a full screen smartphone. The phone will be thinner than before, which could make it easier to carry around without feeling bulky.

The outer screen is expected to grow slightly, giving you more room to check messages, control music, and use apps without opening the phone. On the inside, the main foldable display could reach about 6.9 inches, with a brighter panel that supports strong color and clear visuals even under sunlight.

There is also talk of a much less visible crease. Samsung has been working on improving its hinge and display layers, and this version may finally make the fold line far less noticeable during use.

Camera and Everyday Use Experience

On the camera side, the setup is expected to stay simple but reliable. A 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide lens should handle most situations, from everyday photos to wider landscape shots. The front camera, likely around 10MP, will cover selfies and video calls.

Video recording is expected to stay strong, with support for high quality formats and smoother footage. The focus here is not on adding more lenses, but on improving consistency so users get better results without needing to adjust too many settings.

 Performance and Battery Improvements

Under the hood, the phone is likely to run on a new chip from Samsung, possibly the Exynos 2600. This chip is expected to bring faster speeds and better power use, which could help the phone feel quicker while also lasting longer on a single charge.

Memory and storage are expected to remain solid, with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The battery may also see a small upgrade, sitting around 4,300mAh, which should help support a full day of use with normal activity.

Charging speeds are not expected to change much, but wireless charging and standard wired charging will still be part of the package.

Software and AI Features on the Galaxy Z Flip 8

The phone is likely to run a new version of Android with Samsung’s One UI on top, bringing a cleaner look and smoother navigation. There is also a stronger push toward AI features, which Samsung has been expanding across its devices.

The phone is also expected to come with a set of Galaxy AI tools designed to support everyday use in small but practical ways. These include features like Audio Eraser, Browsing Assist, Call Assist, Drawing Assist, Health Assist, Interpreter, Note Assist, Notification Highlights, Now Brief, Now Nudge, Photo Assist, and Writing Assist.

All of these are aimed at making tasks like editing, communication, and organization feel easier and more automated without needing extra effort from the user.

Samsung is expected to unveil the phone during its annual Unpacked event in mid-2026, with availability likely following shortly after. Pricing could start close to what we have seen before, possibly around the same range as earlier Flip models, though a slight increase is still possible.
