Samsung's One UI 7 finally resumes expanding to more regions, including India
Samsung's One UI 7 rollout expands to India and more regions, bringing new features to Galaxy users.
You know that mix of excitement and frustration that comes with waiting for a software update? That’s been the story for many Samsung users lately. But, after a bumpy rollout, One UI 7 is finally making its way beyond the Galaxy S25 series and into more regions around the world.
While the Galaxy S25 lineup shipped with One UI 7 and even got the April patch early on, things weren’t so smooth for users of the earlier Galaxy models. Samsung started rolling out the update earlier this month, only to hit a few bumps: delays, pauses, and confusing gaps in availability.
Regions like India and Germany, for instance, were noticeably left waiting, especially users of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. But that wait is now over. As of April 23, Galaxy S24 Ultra devices in India are finally getting the massive 5.4GB update, complete with the April patch.
And it’s not just India. Reports on Reddit and Samsung Community threads confirm that users in Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, and several other regions are now seeing the update notification. U.S. carriers like T-Mobile and Boost Mobile have also begun pushing the release to Galaxy S24 owners.
Foldable phone fans have reason to celebrate, too. Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 users in countries like India, South Africa, and Thailand are joining the update party. The rollout is no longer limited to Korea or early adopters in the U.S.
While competitors like Apple may maintain a tighter update schedule across devices, Samsung’s staggered rollout remains a sore spot for users craving consistency, but given the massive ecosystem of devices it supports, some delays are expected.
Still, it’s great to see the One UI 7 update finally gaining momentum after its rocky start. If your Galaxy device hasn’t gotten the update yet, hang tight, it might just be a matter of days.
