SwitchOn, a startup specializing in Vision AI, has successfully raised $4.2 million in its Series A funding round led by Axilor Ventures, a Singapore-based fund, as well as Pi Ventures and notable angels like Anuj Bihani and Laxmi Narayan.

The investment round follows a $1 million seed round by the company in 2019, which was led by current investor Pi Ventures. This brings the company's total funding round to date to $5.2 million.

Per the startup's press statement, the funds will be used to scale its growth in India, and internationally by partnering with large enterprises, recruiting top talent for sales and technology positions, and investing in research and development.

The Bengaluru-based startup, SwitchOn, was founded by Aniruddha and Avra in 2020 and it helps manufacturing companies minimize defects and improve product quality.

Its flagship product "DeepInspect" help manufacturers achieve over 99% accuracy in identifying complex surface defects with less than 200 images to train its AI models, allowing for rapid automation of quality inspection processes and deployment of hundreds of SKUs in just days.

The startup company boasts top-tier clients like Unilever, ITC, and SKF, among others, who have integrated SwitchOn's platform to develop deep-learning quality control models in just a matter of hours.
