Startups across Africa and the Middle East raised a combined $131.55 million this week, based on disclosed funding rounds tracked by Techloy, with investor capital flowing primarily into cybersecurity and healthtech. Two large Israeli deals accounted for most of the week's funding activity.

The Week's Largest Startup Funding Rounds
Here are the biggest disclosed startup funding rounds across Africa, the Middle East and Israel this week.
/1. Corma, $60 million, Cybersecurity, Israel
Corma trains AI models specifically for cyber defence, arguing that general-purpose models are far better at attacking systems than protecting them. Sequoia Capital led the seed round, with Khosla Ventures and Coatue also investing, as the company came out of stealth with 20 staff in Tel Aviv. The money will go toward building out those defensive AI models.
/2. Remepy, $36 million, Healthtech, Israel
Remepy develops what it calls Hybrid Drugs, pairing prescription medicines with AI-powered therapy apps that adapt physical, cognitive, and behavioural activities to each patient. O.G. Venture Partners and M Ventures, the investment arm of Merck KGaA, led the Series A. Remepy will use the money to expand its pipeline, add pharmaceutical partnerships, and fund global Phase III trials of Hybridopa, its Parkinson's treatment, from the final quarter of 2026.
/3. Attestable, $20 million, Cybersecurity, Israel
Attestable builds tools that check how AI systems are behaving, and let AI labs prove their security setup to an outside party rather than simply asserting it. TLV Partners and Altimeter Capital led the seed round, with Netz Capital, Cerca Partners, and several private investors also taking part. Founded in 2025, the company will put the funding toward developing its verification technology.
