World of Warcraft: Forever is almost here. Blizzard's new permanent World of Warcraft experience launches globally on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST.

For players in Nigeria, that means the servers go live at 12:00 a.m. WAT on Thursday, November 5.

Unlike a seasonal Classic server, Forever is designed as a permanent home alongside Modern WoW and Classic WoW. It takes players back to the original continents of Azeroth, with new locations, stories and systems built around the journey to level 60.

What is World of Warcraft: Forever?

Set after the events of Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, Forever revisits Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor for a fresh level 1–60 adventure. The difference is that this version of Azeroth has plenty of new ground to explore.

Blizzard is adding more than 1,000 quests across new and reimagined zones, including Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas, Riverglades and Zephras Isle. The latter is also the starting area for the game's new playable race.

The Skyborne, also known as the shen'dorei, can join either faction. Horde-aligned Windshapers can become Shamans, while Alliance-aligned High-Order Skyborne can become Mages. Other new race and class combinations include Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests and Dwarf Shamans.

New gameplay features, dungeons and raids

Forever introduces two experience presets. Classic keeps the presentation closer to the original game, while Enhanced enables higher-definition character models and more modern interface features. Players can change individual settings later.

There are also four launch rulesets: Normal, PvP, Roleplay and Roleplay PvP. Hardcore is planned for a post-launch update.

Two other additions change how players progress and interact. The Legacy System introduces account-wide challenges, perks, and rewards, while the Camping system turns campfires into shared gathering spots where nearby players can contribute profession-crafted features.

For group content, Forever launches with nine new five-player dungeons for characters between levels 13 and 60. Its new Darkspear Islands battleground supports 15-versus-15 matches. At level 60, players can take on three raids opening on December 9: Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit, and Onyxia's Lair.
