Xbox has found an unusual way to put its console in the spotlight this November. Instead of releasing another limited-edition Xbox Series X with a different finish or colour scheme, the company has built one that looks like an alligator swallowed it whole.
It's called the Xbox Series X-BITE, and despite looking like something straight out of a creature-feature movie, there's a real, working Xbox Series X inside it. The custom creation measures more than five feet from snout to tail, has illuminated green eyes and comes with a controller designed to look as though an alligator has taken a bite out of it.
But the strange design isn't the only reason gamers are talking about it. Xbox has confirmed that only one Series X-BITE exists, and it's giving the entire creation away through a social media sweepstakes.
The giveaway runs until November 10, 2026, with entries accepted through X, Instagram and TikTok. You don't need to buy anything to participate, but there are specific steps to follow if you want your entry to count.

What is the Xbox Series X-BITE?
The Xbox Series X-BITE is a custom-built, fully functional Xbox Series X housed inside a giant alligator sculpture. The console sits within the creature's body and is visible through an illuminated Xbox Nexus, while its eyes feature Xbox-green irises and Nexus-inspired pupils.
The controller is just as unusual. A custom Xbox Wireless Controller, complete with realistic-looking bite marks, rests between the alligator's jaws.
Xbox worked with creature animatronics specialists John Nolan Studio to create the one-off design. The studio has previously worked on productions including The Witcher, Jurassic World Dominion and HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series.
Using 3D modelling, sculpting and fabrication, the team created the alligator's detailed exterior while incorporating a functioning Xbox Series X inside.
There's a small catch, though. While the console works, Xbox recommends keeping the X-BITE primarily as a display piece. The company also confirmed that no actual alligators were used or harmed in its construction.
How to enter the Xbox Series X-BITE giveaway
If you want to win the Xbox Series X-BITE, you can enter through three social media platforms: X, Instagram and TikTok.
The process is free, but simply following Xbox or sharing its announcement isn't enough. You must follow the official account, repost the designated giveaway post and manually include the hashtag #XbiteSweepstakes.
Here's how to do it on each platform.
1. Enter through X
- Visit Xbox's official X account and follow @XBOX.
- Find the designated Xbox Series X-BITE sweepstakes post.
- Select the repost icon and choose Quote.
- Manually type #XbiteSweepstakes into your quote post and publish it.
Simply using the regular repost option without adding the hashtag will not qualify.
2. Enter through Instagram
- Visit Xbox's official Instagram account and follow @XBOX.
- Find the designated Series X-BITE giveaway post.
- Select the repost option.
- Manually type #XbiteSweepstakes into the text field that appears in the thought bubble.
- Publish your repost.
3. Enter through TikTok
- Visit Xbox's official TikTok account and follow @XBOX.
- Find the designated sweepstakes post.
- Select the repost option.
- Manually type #XbiteSweepstakes into the text box that appears.
Once you've completed your entry, make sure your social media account is set to public. Xbox needs to be able to view your repost, and entries submitted through private accounts won't qualify.
Can you enter on all three platforms? Yes. According to the official rules, each person can submit one entry through X, one through Instagram and one through TikTok. That gives you a maximum of three entries across the giveaway.
However, submitting multiple entries on the same platform won't improve your chances. Xbox also says automated entries are prohibited.
When does the Xbox Series X-BITE giveaway end?
The Xbox Series X-BITE sweepstakes opened on November 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) and closes on November 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT.
That gives participants one week to complete their entries. If you're in Nigeria, the closing time translates to 8:59 a.m. WAT on November 11.
Xbox's sweepstakes administrator, GMR Marketing, will conduct a random draw on or around November 11, 2026, to select one potential winner and alternate winners.
Keep an eye on your social media messages after entering. Xbox will contact the potential winner through a direct message on the platform they used to participate.
The selected entrant has 48 hours to respond with their full name, phone number and email address. After that, Xbox will contact them by phone or email to verify their eligibility and request a shipping address. They will have another 24 hours to complete that process.
Missing either deadline could result in forfeiting the prize, with Xbox moving on to an alternate winner.
If everything goes smoothly, the custom console and controller bundle should ship within approximately eight weeks after the winner is confirmed.
