Nintendo has rolled out a new firmware update for both the Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch, bringing a collection of quality-of-life improvements, accessibility upgrades, and eShop changes.

Most firmware updates are easy to ignore. You install them, wait a few minutes, and move on with your life without noticing much has changed.

Nintendo's latest update for the Switch and Switch 2 falls squarely into that category. Version 22.5.0 doesn't introduce a major new feature or dramatically change how either console works.

Instead, it focuses on refining features Nintendo has already spent the last year building.
