American Automaker Tesla recorded growth in EV sales in Q1 2023 shipping 422,875 units of its electric cars to customers during the quarter, a 36% YoY increase compared to Q1 2022's 310,048, beating Wall Street estimates of 420,000 units.
This number also marks a 4% increase from the last quarter that ended in December 2022 in which delivery hit 405,278 (a record for the EV maker at the time).
For Q1 2023, Tesla listed Model 3 and Y deliveries at 412,180. Meanwhile, the combined Model S and Model X deliveries hit just 10,695 a drop from the 14,724 units delivered in the same quarter last year.
