Top 5 Accelerator Programmes and Grants for Early Startups You Can Apply for in August

Whether you’re building a startup, developing new technology, or looking to expand into a new market, here are five accelerator programmes and funding opportunities currently accepting applications in 2026. 

/1. E.ON Future Makers Challenge (India)  

Indian students and startups with ideas for improving energy infrastructure can apply for the E.ON Future Makers Challenge, developed with Infosys and IIT Madras. 

The challenge focuses on areas including grid resilience, IT security, robotics and AI for grid safety, and smart meters. Selected ideas can receive mentorship, access to research and prototyping infrastructure, market-access support, and grant funding of up to $92,400 in total for up to four selected ideas.
