Startups across Africa and the Middle East raised a combined $57.95 million this week, based on disclosed funding rounds tracked by Techloy, with investor capital flowing primarily into fintech and defense technology. Saudi Arabia and Israel accounted for the two largest deals, together making up more than half of the week's funding activity.

Here are the biggest disclosed startup funding rounds across Africa, the Middle East and Israel this week.

/1. SILQ, $20 million, Embedded finance, Saudi Arabia

SILQ runs a B2B commerce platform serving more than 50,000 Saudi businesses, pairing its procurement service, Sary, with Fina, which builds financing directly into merchants' daily operations. Gemcorp Capital provided the money as a Shariah-compliant structured financing facility, its first such deal in Saudi Arabia. SILQ will use it to expand invoice financing and trade finance through Fina.

/2. ASIO Technologies, $15 million, Defense tech, Israel

ASIO builds tactical systems that help military ground teams coordinate, navigate, and communicate during operations. Protego Ventures led the company's first outside funding round, with Aliya Capital Partners co-leading. ASIO plans to put the money toward expanding into international markets.
