🛫 Tech’s new home base?
Everyone's on the run to save money.
We've all heard of them, and the tech giants have come to fear them – tariffs.
With President Trump's ongoing Tariff War, companies are scrambling to move production out of Vietnam and China and into India.
Tech giants like Alphabet and Apple have been rushing to make the shift. While tariffs outside of China are at 10% for now, Trump has said it is temporary. If the 'Liberation Day' tariffs return, Vietnam could face a hefty 46% tariff, while India will be hit with a more manageable 26% tariff.
But if Big Tech gets things right, the impact on consumers' pockets may not be as severe as expected. The big question is whether this shift is temporary or the start of India’s rise as tech's new home base.
