PS Plus October 2026 Games: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and More

PlayStation Plus is heading into October with a lineup that covers three very different kinds of action: Formula 1 racing, a tense extraction shooter, and a colourful fight against giant monsters.

Sony has confirmed F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 as October’s Monthly Games.

All three titles will be available to PlayStation Plus members from October 6 through November 2, 2026. There are also limited-time Spider-Man avatars and Halloween-themed in-game bundles to look out for.

PlayStation Plus October 2026 Games: Full Lineup

/1. F1 25 (PS5)

F1 25 is the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, bringing its racing action to PS5 as part of October’s lineup.

There’s plenty here for players who prefer building a career over simply jumping into individual races. Career mode returns alongside My Team 2.0, which lets you create and manage your own Formula 1 team. You can also take your racing online, including a new F1 World multiplayer mode where you and your friends compete as a squad against AI drivers.

I like that this gives the lineup a game with both a substantial solo offering and a way to race with friends. Whether you want to chase a championship or build a team from the ground up, F1 25 gives you a few different ways to approach the sport.

/2. Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5)

Hunt: Showdown 1896 brings its unforgiving extraction-shooter formula to October’s PlayStation Plus selection. Set in corrupted backwaters filled with monsters and rival Hunters, the game challenges you to track down bosses, defeat them, claim their Bounty, and make it out alive.

You can head into a match alone or bring up to two teammates. That choice matters: other Hunters are competing for the same rewards, so every encounter can turn into a fight over whether you leave with your prize or lose it trying.

Of the three games, this is the one I’d expect to deliver the most tension. The combination of PvE monsters, competing players, and the risk of losing your haul gives each hunt a clear sense of danger.

/3. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5, PS4)
