If you've been waiting for One UI 9, you can finally start celebrating. Samsung has officially started rolling out its latest software update, with the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra getting it first.
The update began rolling out in South Korea on September 16, with a wider global rollout expected from September 21.
One UI 9 is based on Android 17 and brings new Galaxy AI features, stronger privacy tools, and several quality-of-life improvements. Here's everything you need to know.

When your Galaxy device will get One UI 9
The Galaxy S26 lineup is first in line. The update is already live in South Korea and starts arriving in more markets from September 21.
The Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Fold 7 are expected to receive One UI 9 from September 28 in some markets. The Galaxy S23 FE is currently slated for October.
Samsung hasn't published a complete rollout schedule for every eligible Galaxy phone and tablet yet, but it says more devices will receive the update in the coming weeks.
How to download One UI 9
Once the update is available for your device:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Software update.
- Select Download and install.
- Follow the prompts to install One UI 9.
You can also enable Automatic updates so your Galaxy device downloads and installs the update as soon as it's available.
The biggest new features in One UI 9
One UI 9 introduces several new Galaxy AI features, with My FanCam leading the list. It can track a selected person in a video and keep them centred in the frame, making it useful for concerts, sporting events, and school performances.
