Now, I’m a bit excited that this blog I started just a week ago is getting some attention from Web-savvy blogs and individuals, so I decided to write a review about startupsNigeria. I’ll try not to be fussy about my review…ha ha!
startupsNigeria is a blog that profiles, reviews and analyses web startups, social networks as well as Web 2.0 technologies, products and services in Nigeria that are making an impact in today’s new web space. startupsNigeria has been partially reviewed at White African (now defunct), a blog that writes about technology and how it is impacting and can change Africa. Also, the site was refered to at Sturvs Blog (now defunct) after I wrote a review of the social bookmarking site.
Update: startupsNigeria got a review at Kabissa (now defunct), a network of African civil society organisations.
The blog is regularly updated with new and existing startups and tech/mobile news in Nigeria. It also invites startups to request a review of their sites for free. So far, three requests have been made for the review of Naijalingo, DuduMobile and Nairablogs.
startupsNigeria welcomes individuals who would like to submit news items about tech and mobile products and services, startups news and Web 2.0 news around Nigeria and Africa for publishing on the blog, with a linkback to their blogs and websites.
The site was inspired by blogs such as TechCrunch and Mashable, after following these sites for several months. It would be great to see startupsNigeria amongst the top 10 African blogs that are making a buzz around the Web 2.0 industry.
