How to Enable Dark Mode in Google Docs

Google Docs is a popular word-processing application that allows you to create and edit documents online.

One of its many features is the ability to use a dark mode interface, which can be easier on the eyes and reduce eye strain, especially when working for extended periods. The Google Docs app on your smartphone lets you switch between light and dark themes.

In this article, we would be going over how to turn on the Dark Mode feature on Google Docs on your smartphone, whether on Android or iPhone.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to turn on dark mode on your smartphone:

1. Go to Google Docs, and click on the three-line menu icon located in the top-left corner.

2. Select Settings

3.  Choose the Theme option, which will allow you to pick dark mode.

4.  Select Dark

5.  Dark mode would be activated in your Google Doc once done.

Now, with this feature, you can actually create content in your Google Doc without straining your eyes.

As a writer, I personally love Dark Mode and with Google Docs having this extra feature, it makes me love the app even more. It is my go-to app each time I need to draft content for publishing.
