Andela, the global talent network that connects companies with top technologists, has announced the acquisition of Qualified.io, a leading technical assessment platform.

This announcement was made by the CEO, Jeremy Johnson, in a blog post. With this acquisition, Andela is set to revolutionize the hiring process for global talent by certifying the skills of engineers before they engage with clients.

Founded in 2014 on the belief that brilliance is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not, Andela has placed thousands of engineers with nearly 100 enterprise clients.

The acquisition of Qualified.io will accelerate the company's ability to connect brilliance with opportunity and help clients find the right technical talent with the right skills for their roles.

Qualified.io is a leader in technical assessment, with enterprise companies like Meta, Zoom, and Dominos already trusting the platform to assess their internal talent.

As part of the acquisition, Andela welcomes Codewars, a community of 3.6 million engineers who complete challenges, test their skills, and enhance their coding practice on a peer-to-peer platform. Codewars will continue to exist as Codewars, and the community of engineers will benefit from access to opportunities on the Andela platform.

By bringing Qualified.io into Andela, the company can now understand the true skills of an engineer in a more data-driven and thoughtful way than ever before. Andela says it will continue to offer assessments as a standalone product, as well as integrate the certification into its platform as a standard for its talent.
