Africa faces increasing vulnerability to climate change, resulting in devastating droughts, floods, extreme temperatures, and rising sea levels.

In 2022 alone, over 7.5 million people were internally displaced on the continent due to climate-related disasters, according to the IDMC's Global Report on Internal Displacement, 2023. Without effective climate action, the World Bank predicts that up to 105 million people could become internal migrants by 2023.
