Remember when Elon promised a truth-seeking AI to unravel the secrets of the universe?

It is no secret that Elon Musk is not a fan of bland, politically correct bots. Driven by his compulsion to add that Musk-flavored pizzazz to everything, his AI firm, xAI has just created Grok to spice things up a bit.

The AI-powered chatbot wants to rival ChatGPT and other contenders in the AI chatbot space in a 'cheeky' way. Taking cues from the hilariously brainy supercomputer in the 1980's movie "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", Grok is sort of a 'rebel', returning answers laced with humor and a touch of sarcasm. Also, it isn't shy to throw some subtle insults and wild jokes into its responses.

ChatGPT maker, OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman even took a swipe at Grok while showing off the capabilities of OpenAI's new GPT Builder. He instructed the GPT Builder to “be a chatbot that answers questions with cringy boomer humour in an awkward shock-to-get-laughs sort of way," to which the GPT Builder responded by saying, “Great, the chatbot is set up! Its name is Grok..."

As the banter unfolds, it's clear that it will take more than Grok's ability to throw witty banters, and answer "spicy" questions that other chatbots shy away from to compete.

Which raises the question: Can Grok disrupt the AI chatbot world?

The banter goes on...
