Seedstars International Ventures, an investment firm based in Switzerland has raised $20 million of its $30 million Fund II target to invest in tech startups across the emerging markets in Asia, Africa, MENA, and Latin America.

  • The capital will be deployed to 100 startups building the future of finance, commerce, health, work, and education from pre-seed to seed and up to Series A, in three years.
  • The firm will also use its Value Creation Platform to mentor companies on how to scale professionally and tools and methodologies to run a growth team.
  • The Seedstars Fund II is backed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Visa Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, and Symbiotics.
  • The VC firm has invested in over 90 startups in the emerging market ecosystem, including Nigeria's Omnibiz, a tech-led unified B2B distribution platform.
