Not the version of the cage fight we had hoped for, but nonetheless a riveting one. Mark Zuckerberg's Meta is wielding its new digital sword in the form of Threads to go up against Elon Musk's ancestral text blade, Twitter, in the battle of the Microblogging Wars.
Launched today as Techloy earlier reported, Threads is a text-based standalone app, specifically designed for “public conversations,” and is based on Instagram's account system, according to the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri.
