In the rapidly evolving landscape of AI, competition among industry giants continues to stoke excitement for users, particularly with the emergence of the release of Google Bard, which is aiming to tackle the threat posed by ChatGPT to its search ad business.

Personally, I have been keen to compare Google's newly released Bard against OpenAI's chatbot in a competition and rate them based on their unique capabilities and their commitment to enhancing the user experience.

While ChatGPT has been in the market since its launch in November 2022, dominating, Google's AI chatbot, Bard, arrived later after initial attempts were fraught with challenges.

Both Bard and ChatGPT use language models, which means that, for the most part, they generate very similar results, however, there are still very distinct features that set them apart. Here are the main differences I discovered while comparing Bard and ChatGPT.

A notable distinction between the two chatbots lies in their pricing models, which is a significant aspect of the comparison between these chatbots. In this article, we will delve into the differences in their capabilities, focusing on the free version of Bard versus the free version of ChatGPT.
