According to research from Counterpoint, India witnessed a 5% year-on-year decline in Smart TV shipments during this period. Several factors contributed to this decline, including prevailing inflation and macroeconomic challenges, leading consumers to prioritize essential purchases.
Despite this decline, Smart TV adoption continues to rise in India, with these devices accounting for a record 91% share of overall TV shipments in the first half of 2023.
