Google's parent company, Alphabet, posted a worrying trend of year-on-year decline of its YouTube advertising revenue in its financial results for Q4 2022, amid a broadening advertising pullback that continues to bite harder.

This advertising contraction contributed to the company's overall revenue slowing down to only a 1% YoY growth in the quarter.

This Techloy chart below shows that YouTube reeled in $7.96 billion in advertising revenues in the fourth quarter of 2022, representing a 7.8% decrease compared to the fourth quarter of 2021.
