As layoffs continue to rattle the tech industry worldwide amid a turbulent global economy, the echos have found their way to the Latin American tech market too, as we see companies in the sector have started cutting and reducing their workforces.

According to a recent Techloy startup layoff analysis, around 10,000 employees in the technology sector across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East were laid off in mass job cuts, as of June 2022.

In a Techloy report published in July 2022, LatAm startups in crypto and proptech were laying off their employees more than other sectors in the region. In this article, we highlight some of the LatAm startups that have cut staff in the past couple of weeks.
